A full body skin check with dermoscopy and photography
A 15-20 minute whole-skin appointment designed to assess lesions in context and support earlier detection.
GP referral is NOT requiredWhy the whole skin matters
If you are concerned about a particular lesion, examining it in the context of your entire skin can increase the likelihood of detecting hidden skin cancers and reduce unnecessary excisions of non-cancerous lesions.
A Full Skin Check takes 15-20 minutes and involves dermoscopy. We utilise photography and archive systems to map suspicious or unusual lesions when needed.

What happens during your skin check
Prepare for assessment
You will be asked to remove all clothing except your undergarments. Avoid wearing makeup, as it can interfere with assessment.
Tell us about specific areas
Please inform us if you want specific areas examined, as these are not routinely checked.
Dermoscopy and photography
The doctor checks your skin and may photograph suspicious or unusual lesions for archived comparison.
